Portfolio - Improvement

Over the past two years, I have improved a lot I am not as immature as I was in middle school. My writing skills weren't that good because I used to not like to write I thought it was pointless. My writing skills are way better now I write how I am supposed to write for my grade. I improved my writing skills because I knew that it was a requirement for High School I started to practice my skills. I had very good reading skills in middle school but they improved in high school because I kept reading harder and harder books. My reading skills are a little bit better now because I already read high skilled books in middle school it got a little bit better because I kept reading and never stopped. My speaking skills before high school weren't as good as there are now because I used think that everytime I spoke in front of a group of people the would be talking about me. My speaking skills now are great because I am not afraid to speak in front of a crow and I don't care what people say about me anymore. I improved my speaking skills because I spoke in front of my family. My group-work skills before high school were horrible I didn't like working with people because they would irritate me if they did something wrong. My group-work skills are a lot better because I can work with people I don't like, I worked on group-work skills by having some patience. My technology skills were down the drain I hated technology, My technology skills are way way better now thanks to Ms. Priester. I improved my technology skills by being in Ms. Priester's class. I will keep having respect towards my teachers and I will keep doing the things I am doing now.

Greatest High School Obstacle

When I was in freshman year I didn't listen very well to intructions that came from adults and Ms. Priester told me to do an assignment that I didn't feel like doing and she sent me out to the hall and we both argued with each other. I felt mad because I knew even if I felt like I was right she was the teacher and she most likely would have won the arguememnt so there was no reason to even try arguing with her. The incident changed me because I learned not to argue with Ms. Priester because I would never win the arguement we would argue about.

Personal Changes Blog Paragraph

When I was a freshman, I was disrespectful. Now, I am respectful because I feel like I act different.
For example, people used to look down at me without respect. This shows that people didn't have respect for me because I didn't have respect for them. This also shows that I used to not get so many privileges that I get now because of my disrespect towards people. In addition, I now get a lot of respect from staff and teachers because I show respect towards them. This shows that I get more privileges from staff and teachers. This also shows that teachers and staff respect me now and take me more serious because of the respect I give to them. By my senior year, I hope to be one of the most respected students on campus and the most trusted.

Rain, Vacation, or Zombies vs Vampires Blog Post Paragraph

Rainy days are relaxing because the weather makes people just want to sit down and relax rather than be ouside doing stupid things. For example, on rainy days I feel like not going to shool and just laying in bed all day drinking something hot all day. This shows that most people will feel lazy and not want to do anything which makes them sit down and watch telivision all day. Additionally, some people get bored of just sitting in the house not able to go outside  or even go anywere because of how wet it is outside. This shows that if kids wont come out less kids will be getting in trouble because they will be to lazy to do anything. The next time it rains, I hope it will be a weekend so I can just sleep in and lay down all day and just relax.

Testing Thoughts Paragraph

      I feel scared about taking the California High School Exit Exam (CAHSEE). I feel scared because most students speak of it like it's the hardest test ever but other students talk about it like it's so easy. Half of the teachers make us prep for it like its a hard test but the other half of the teachers don't. It kinda confuses me because half of the teacher and students say it's hard but the other half say it's not so I gotta find out which category I am. 
   I know that I have to prep myself to take the test because I don't want to walk in not knowing what to do. I am prepping myself on English because our teacher is helping us write essays and is also helping us how to begin one and what do to, for example before writing an essay you can do concept map to get your ideas. My math teacher is helping us how to prep for the CAHSEE because he is going over on how to do it he is also teaching us the steps.
      I am a little concerned that I will not know what to do and will get stuck and fail. I am also scared that if I don't pass it I will stay behind a year. I am also concerned that I might get distracted because there will be other students who most likely will be talking. Another thing I am concerned about is not knowing how to do the math part because I am not good at math.
      I am confident that I am going to pass the English part because I am very good at English. I am also confident that I will pass the essay part in the CAHSEE because I am practicing and I am getting better at it. Another thing I am confident about is passing the math part because I have been studying the step on how to do specific problems even if I'm not good in math at all.
      When I see my CAHSEE scores, I hope I feel excited because I would feel like I accomplished my goal. I would also feel happy because I would know that I wouldn't have to re-take it. I would hope not to feel sad because I would feel like I failed at something important when I knew I should have passed it. I would also feel like I wasn't good enough because I failed something very important.

Technology in school paragraph

Teachers use technology to help me learn. For example, in 8th grade, my teacher used to help me explain my homework. It helped me because I got my homework done more often.
Also, in 9th grade, my teacher used to help me with the class work. It helped me because I got a lot of my work done. In addition, in 10th grade, my teacher used to tell us how to do our homework. It helped me because it meant I wouldn't have to have help with my homework. Future teachers can help their students to learn by explaining the work.

For Halloween I was going on pass on the way there I saw little kids already in their costumes. I was leaving SPA to see my family that I really don't get to see. The air was thick that night and it was hard to breath. I was getting ready putting my costume on my costume had the rand new smell on it. I finished getting dressed and whent to the kitchen to see what my mom was cooking and tasted some sea good it tasted so delicious. The night whent on without a worry and I had so much fun.

“’Typhoid Fever’– Present Tense Childhood Memory.”

I am entering first grade and I would always bring a box of tootsie rolls. Today I was bringing my box of tootsie rolls. There was a new girl today I don't like her at all she thinks she's the  best. it's time to play with the blocks and she is trying tko steal my block I don't let her so I pull one of her pony tails. She starting to cry like a little cry baby and i'm telling her to stop crying and stop being a baby. My teacher comes and takes my tootsie rolls and I get mad but just let it go. It's almost time for school to get out and I can't wait to go home and eat becuase i'm hungry.  There's a minute left in class and I got and get my tootsie rolls without permission the new went to go tell teacher and I got mad so i pulled her hair again. My teacher got ver mad at me and told my mom after school I started crying and told my mom that the new girl bothered me first. I also told my mom I didn't like the new girl my mom didn't get mad at me and we went home to eat.

Dragons' Den First Semester Week 13: Saturday

My favorite thing to do on a Saturday is to wake up late and hang out with my boyfriend. During this activity we watch movies and talk about the day before that. I do this activity because I think that it's a relaxing thing to do on a saturday. I enjoy this activity because it relaxes me and prepares me for the week. I hope to do this again because it puts me in a good mood and makes me happy.

Dragons' Den First Semester Week 10: Homecoming

Homecoming week at San Pasqual Academy was very interesting for me. The spirit days were creative. For example, we never had pijama day mixed with infant day it was really fun. The pep assembly had a lot of school spirit. For example,all grades had spirit when they called out there year. The football game was kinda boring because we would think that we would have had some kind of challenge with the other team but we didn't we won 60 something to nothing. The dance was drama free and everyone was getting a long. For Example, when the music started everyone started dancing without a problem. Compared to a typical week at SPA, this week made me feel like we were at a normal high school.

Dragons' Den First Semester Week 0: Video Games, Texting, or Sleeping

I play video games because it makes me feel good. I decide to play when I am angry. While I am angry I usually play because i'm angry, I play because it takes my anger out. I enjoy play video games because it's fun to just sit down with some food and relaxing In reflection, I should play more because I haven't played in a while

Dragons Den 7: Would You Rather?

I would rather be pretty than be smart. One reason is that I don't want to be so smart right now because I am young and guys my age don't really look at girls that are just smart but not pretty. Additionally, I kinda want to be both because I just don't want to be be a dumb blond. One last reason that I want to be pretty than smart is that if your smart you really won't really have a life. Dragons Den: Campus Donations

I feel really grateful for the money that people donated for the field because now the football players can have motivation to win games. Before having the football field the football players didn't have any motivation and they lost more games than they did this year. I am also grateful for the people that donated the school supplies because they had books for us to read and they had pencils and pens.

If I was in Lizbeth's shoes I would try to talk to my mom and try to  tell her what I would want to do. If my mom would tell me that I had to do something I didn't want to do but she still made me do it I would purposely do what Lizbeth did I would try my hardest to not listen to her. "Two Kinds" Before You Read: Something You Don't Want to Do

I am in my house. I am with my boyfriend atching tv. We got in the arguement becausew one of us wanted to go to the pool but the other one didn't. I felt like I wouldnt win the arguement because he wouldn't listen and he was being really stubern. We argued a lot but not ended up not going. The conflict was resolved by me just sitting down and saying fine we could stay in the house and keep watching tv. I felt kinda defeated but just accepted the fact that I didn't win the arguement.

"Everyday Use" Before You Read: Tradition

Fifteen years from now, I will be a married parent with 2 kids getting ready for the holidays. This tradition involves being with the family during holidays. One of my happy memories of this tradition is when it easter and all our family was together and we all went looking for eggs. I will share this with my children by showing them what I used to do with my family. By sharing this tradition with future generations, I hope that when i'm gone my kids and grand children would still follow it.

Dragons Den:Life Lesson

A life lesson I learned the hard way is when is dating a boy I should have never dated. I used to think I liked him a lot  but then I realized that I really didn't like him I just liked him as a friend. I also think that people shouldnt date people that they think the like they should find out first if they really want to be with that person because if not don't be with them because it will just hurt them more when you tell them you don't really like them. Now, I am happy with someone I really like and I don't doubt it.

: Dragons Den: Power Outage

On Thursday evening, I was getting ready to play in a volleyball game when suddenly the lights went off. In response , The team and I started freaking out because with no electronics we wouldn't be able to keep score. Then I just kept practicing and telling people that we can score keep on  a piece of paper. Later on the team realized that the coaches were gonna be late so we might had to for fit. Finally the coaches got here and we played without light and lost but had a lot of fun. After the game I knew we weren't gonna have the light on that night so SPA didn't let the girls go to the boys side and they didn't let the boys go to the girls side. Later on that night everyone got to go to the cafe it was so fun. When the lights came back on everyone in my house was asleep. In the morning, I woke up and asked if we had school they said no and i fell back asleep
