Academic Language Week 30 - "D" Grades

Schools should not eliminate "D" grade. One reason is because if teachers eliminate the grade D more students will drop out of high school and teachers won't be able to COMPENSATE  the students. Another reason is with all the high school students dropping out of high shool the students wont have the time to INTERACT with their teacher and learn what they have to learn to be able to get accepted in a college, Additionally, if students know that they can pass high school with a D they are not going to try hard enough. INITIALLY if they get work that they understand they will try harder and won't get any D's
In conclusion, Schools not eliminating D's not so many students will drop out of high school and will go to college.

Academic Language Week 29 - School Conferences

Topic Sentence: -Parents should not face jail time for missing their child's school conference. One reason is if a parent is to busy because they work or because they have other children they need to attend to teachers can SEEK ways to get in contact with the parent. Another reason is maybe the parent can't make it because an emergency came up the teach can find some kind of RESOURCE to get in contact with the students parents. Additionally, If the parent if just to lazy to go to the school and talk to you because they are exshousted you can find a way to TRANSFER the students information. In conclusion, I dont think parents should go to to jail if they miss a conference because they  can just be very busy.

Academic Language Week 23 - Dog Fighting

Dog fighting should be illegal because dogs are like humans they have feelings to. The dogs are thought a FORMULA to learn how to fight with other dogs till the death. If dogs get thought how to fight they could start being abusive to other dogs and there owners. Dogs have distinct attitudes that have lost when exposed to violence. People have the potential to make other humans stop from making their dogs fight other dogs, because if dogs keep on dying because of their owners then the dog population is going to decrees. That’s why I think dog fighting should be illegal.

Academic Language Week 22 - Felons Voting

I think Felons should be allowed to vote because they are just As normal as anybody that is not a felon. I think Felons can get scared top vote because a SOURCE can trace their past and bring things that they don't want tho get brought up. I donth think it's RELEVANT when people debate if felons should vote or not because I think they should have a right to know.

Academic Language Week 21 - Steroids

No I don't think that athletes should be allowed to use any type of drug because it's a dangerous thing to do to your budy because in a PERIOD of time your body will get sick of it and may even kills you. I guess you can say that it's a TRADITION for athletes to use drugs such  as stereoids because it makes them better at whatever sport they are playing. I also think they shouldn't be able to play with the use of drugs because it makes the game unfair kinda like if they cheated because they get better than the other players making them more noticable to fans which means they get payed more. Some athletes dont use drugs such as stereoids and are big and strong but sometiimes can't compete with the players that are using them.

Academic Language Week 11 - Health Care

I think all American's should have the right to free health care because it's not fair for some people to free health care and others don't. I say this because I come from a poor family and it wouldn't be fair for my family not to get free health care. There has been EVIDENCE that not all Americans get free health care. It's an ISSUE for people that don't get free health care because they might be poor and can barely afford to pay rent. I think that all Americans should have free health care because some people with kids can barely get  thru.
