Campus Life Third-Person Paragraph

She gets ready by waking up at 7:00 a clock in the morning. She does her hair at 7:30 and brushes her teeth. She eats at 8:00 and she leaves at 8:10 because if she doesn't leave on time she will get on restriction. The staff starts to cook at 5:00 by 5:30 the staff had finished with the cooking. At 5:30 the staff goes to wherever you are at and says it's dinner time. The kids all sit down and have a peaceful dinner sometimes the kids are kinda hyper so they have fun. Lunch at the cafe is really loud because students are yelling at each other and having fun. Sometimes students get a little bit to happy and want to fight each other but it's not all the time.

My UnGoogleable Research for an Eight-Year Old

Some people don't know what a puppy mill. They also don't know what are the bad things about dogs that are from there. The three big ideas is that there shouldn't be puppy mills because the puppy who take care of them don't really take care of them and they don't pay attention to the puppies. After the mom dog is done having babies the mom dog gets thrown away or gets killed. No one ever holds the puppies so when some one takes one of the puppies home the puppies are really mad sometimes. It is important to know this information because not a lot of people know about it and because it;s just fun to research it.

My Feelings about the Upcoming CSTs

I am kinda happy the CST is almost here because that means that school is almost over. I am not that happy because I really don't like test especially important ones because I get nervous. I remember the first day of eight grade I had to take a test so the school would know what classes to put me in. I din't like that test because it had a lot of problems I didn't know and back then I didn't know how to use wise skills to pass the test. I also remember when I came to SPA I had to take a test to see what level I was in math, reading, and english. I didn't like that test because I was having a bad day so I got bad scores in it meaning that I would be put in lower classes. I also remember when I had to take a spanish speaker test. I didn't like it because I thought I didn't need to take it because I already knew spanish so my ignorance made me get a bad test score. I feel kinda excited because I feel like im going to get a good score because I learned some ways to make testing way easier.

I was relaxing on Sunday of April 18,2011 and I was on the computer looking up what crickets eat when I got phone call. It was my mom she asked for me. I was kinda surprised because she usually never calls me unless she needs something or something happens in the family. I got worried as soon as I heard it was my mom. I went to the phone and said hi to my mom. I asked her what was wrong and she said that my aunt was pregnant and that's why my little sister didn't come to family day. I told her that was good news. My mom was silent for about 5 seconds. I repeated to her that it was good news that my aunt was pregnant. My mom told me that my aunt went to the hospital because she was already a month pregnant so she was getting her monthly checking. My mom told me that the Doctor checked her and told her that something was wrong somewhere in her stomach were the baby. The Doctor told my aunt that she was going to lose the baby. When my mom told me I started to cry because I couldn't believe that I was going to lose someone that I would never meet. I said bye to my mom and just stayed quiet. My staff asked me what was wrong and I said nothing was wrong with me. I went back to the computer and played music and just cried silently because I didn't want anyone to know why I was crying. I wrote this personal story because it just happened on Sunday I don't really know if my aunt has lost the baby or not but I haven't told anyone and I really had to tell someone and is much easier for me to write it then to say it. When people ask me what if there is something wrong with me I smile and say anything but inside me I just want to burst out crying.

UnGoogleable Research Paper Highlight Reflection

Reading and highlighting the sources for my UnGoogleable research paper helped me to find more usual informationg for my research.I learned that puppy mills kills the the dogs after they can't breed anymore. I can break my information into three sections. One sections is to know what to highlight and what not to highlight. Another section is to find a good and appropriate website that gives you good information. The third section is that what ever your highlighted is irrelevant to what you are trying to research.
My next step to write a research paper should be to is to get the facts together first and then organize them.

UnGoogleable Research Paper Website Selection Reflection

Today in class I went to different websites to find information for my research paper.
To search for websites, I  use some of the websites Ms. Priester gave us and searched what I had to search.
When I found a website related to my focus question, I copied the URL and pasted it on my delicous account so I could go look back at the information when I need to. I knew some of the websites I found were unacceptable because the didn't have the usefull infomation that I needed or didn't have any facts.
Tomorrow, I expect that Ms. Priester will tell me to pull up the information that I got and highlight the goood information that is one there.

Third Quarter Awards Review

In San Pasqual Academy we have and award assembly at the end of every quarter. We have this assembly because SPA wants to recognize people who showed that earned it. everybody goes teacher, students NA staff and even Tia and Beth.
In the beginning of the assembly I was really nervous because SPA didn't give a notice to the kids who were getting an award so I didn't know if I was getting an award or not.
I started play with my hands because when Tia was calling out names for having a 3.0 or a 3.5. I was getting really nervous because my name wasn't getting called. I started to panick and looking around to see if people were looking at me. I wondered if when they called my name if people were gonna clap for me or if no one was gonna clap for me while I was thinking this my name was called without me knowing. The person next to me had to tell me they called me up. I stood up and every one was clapping it was louder then I had expected. I went up the stage and got my certificate and a $25.00 gift certificate.
I sat back down and was kinda mad at myself because my goal was to get a 3.5 but I got a 3.4 again so when people told what a good job I did I told I could have done better.

I hope that the next award assembly I get called up fo having a 3.5 and getting a $50.00 money award not a $25.00 money award.

UnGoogleable Research Paper – Website Evaluation Tips

I asked 3 people questions to help me learn about good resources. I interviewed Kyle about the question.He said if I wanted to find a good website for writing a research paper I would have to look at the website and see if it has academic sources. Kyle also said to check that it is not business related or college oriented. I asked Dre my housemate. Dre told me I would find out if it is a good website by checking the citations because that will tell me a lot about the website. I also asked Italia and she told me to make sure the website is not facts that people can write on their own accord. For example, I shouldn't go to the website Wikipedia or Answers.com because those websites people put fact put  what they think are facts.The advice that these people told me will help me write my research paper because they game me good things to look at to get a good website and they also told me the bad things to look at in websites and what to avoid. I asked these people because they have went to college or are going to go to college so they had to do research paper so they know what to look for and what not in a website.

Fourth Quarter Kickoff Reflection

For our Fourth Quarter Kickoff  day we had to get into groups. My group was named Love And Peace. Our team had to work as a team to be able to win the scavenger hunt the game was named "Monkey egg hunt". After we finishing the game we went into Emily's class and ate a snack. The snack was pretty interesting to eat because I had never ate that before. After we were done eating our snack we went into Ms. Priesters classroom and made monkeys. I must admit I had a lot of fun. When we were done with our monkeys we all went to lunch so first lunch  and second lunch had lunch together. It was fun because I got to eat with some of my friends that I didn't eat with regularly because they had a different lunch than I did. After lunch we had to get into our groups again but this time we had way more people on our team. I was in team 6 our team won each and every game we played. I had so much fun because I was able to have fun without getting in trouble. At the end of the day my team sat down and talked about the day and played Duck,Duck,Goose. I haven't played that game since 5th grade. The day was new to me but I had a lot of fun and I wish we could do it again.

Historical Approach Paragaph

Understanding history can help readers understand a story because they will know the background of it and will have more information to go with the story. For example if you know the history of the story you will have an easier time answering questions. In addition the reader will understand what the story is trying to say. This shows that the reader will have an easier time understanding the meaning of the story. This shows that understanding history can help readers understand the concept of the story and what the teacher is trying to tell you. Now that I understand this, I will try to understand the history because it will help me when I'm stuck and I will be able to help my peers.

Fourth Quarter Goals.

My greatest accomplishments of last quarter was me getting 3.0. What I had to do to achieve my goal was to turn in all my work stay on task and do all the work that was given to me. One of my other greatest accomplishments was getting one of my assignments shown to some very important people. I am very proud of myself because I tried hard on the paragraph. What I had to do to achieve this goal was to review my paragraph I also had to write it with a lot of information so it could a good paragraph.

My goal for this quarter is to get a 3.5 or higher.

UnGoogleable Research – What I Already Know

My focus question is "Why do people buy pets from puppy mills after knowing they were mistreated?"
I already know that Puppy Mills lie to the people that buy the dogs and tell them that the dogs were well taken care of. I also know that sometime the store that puppy mills sell to don't know they were mistreated. Additionally, I know that animals are abused so no one will notice. By doing this research I hope to learn more about Puppy Mills and why do they abuse the animals. I also want to learn more about  Puppy Mills and why they are abused.
